Miniature Crab Cakes

This is a delicious appetizer for the summer and easy to make. You can also eat them cold or warm.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound of fresh crab meat

  • 1/2 cup bread crumbs

  • 1 egg

  • 1tablespoon mayonnaise

  • 1 teaspoon Old Bay

  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

  • 1/2 teaspoon dry mustard

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Directions

  • In a large mixing bowl, mix together bread crumbs, egg, Old Bay, Worcestershire sauce, dry mustard and mayonnaise.
  • Add in crab meat and mix well.
  • Patty out small cakes - about 2 T each and set to the side. Should make about 14 patties
  • Heat 1 tablespoon of oil over medium heat and cook in batches. About 7 each batch and cook about 3 1/2 minutes a side. Temperatures may vary so keep an eye on them.
  • Remove to a plate with a paper towel.
  • Repeat steps 4 and 5.
  • Top with mango salsa.
  • You can serve with tartar sauce but this isn't included in the nutritional information.

  • Yields - 14 patties, 2 each serving. 142 calories, 7g fat, 584mg sodium, 7.5g carbohydrate, .4g fiber, .8g sugars and 10g protein.
